Terms & Conditions
Reservation

The villa and / or vehicle of your choice shall be reserved for you on the dates booked, on receipt of a $300 deposit or 30% of the total cost of the booking, which ever is the greater. The balance is payable 2 weeks before the check in date. Should you encounter any difficulty in keeping to this timescale, please discuss with us and we will do our best to find an alternative mutually acceptable arrangement.

Payment

Payment can be made by bank to bank transfer or by debit/credit card through PayPal or by Moneygram
(If paying by debit or credit card a 4% fee will be charged to cover Paypal charges).
The customer is responsible for all charges connected with the payment.

Holiday Contract

On making a booking, you guarantee that you have the capacity and authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms and conditions of these bookings. You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking with us. Your contract with Royal Ramsgate Villas, Ghana is made once a confirmation email has been issued to you. Our contract with you will be governed by Ghanaian Law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the Ghanaian Courts.

Booking Changes
In the event of any changes in your travel arrangements after the issue of our confirmation email, for instance your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our very best to make the necessary amendments (which may not always be suitable). Any changes requested must be made in writing (by email) from the person who made the booking. A $20 admin charge is applicable.
Friends, Functions and Parties

Each bedroom accommodates a maximum of two persons. Please notify the manager in advance if you are having guest staying and/or parties so that they can be catered for as necessary

travel insurance

Travellers are required to have their own comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, losses and flights etc.

generator

Each villa has a standby generator which is filled once, after which the customer is expected to top up for further use.

Internet Broadband, DSTV

We rely on Ghana Telecom and DSTV for these services, so in the event of their inability to provide these services, Royal Ramsgate Villas cannot be held responsible and there will be no refund of any kind. You have to load the internet broadband pen-drive with credit in order to use it. The DSTV is a pre-paid service at $4.00 or equivalent per day. Our staff will be able to assist you with this.

swimming pool

Children should be accompanied and supervised in/and around the pool by their parents/guardian at all times. Please do not use the pool if you are under the influence of alcohol. The pool is 8ft deep at the deep end, and 4ft deep at the shallow end. You use the pool at your own risk and Royal Ramsgate Villas does not accept any liability for any accidents whatsoever.

complaint

Should you have any cause for complaint whilst on holiday, please bring it to the immediate attention of our manager on site or ourselves in the UK by email or phone to address the issue.

Check-in/out times
All guests are required to check-in no earlier than 2pm on the first day of stay, and check-out no later than 12 noon on the last day of stay.

 

Cooking Services

A fully qualified chef/housekeeper can be assigned to your villa at a daily rate of $12 or local currency equivalent (payable to the manager at the end of each working day) to expertly prepare all meals to your requirement. Requests and payments could also be made in advance.  Please note that the chef/housekeeper works from 0800hrs to 1800hrs each day with an hours lunch break.

electricity

The villas are fitted with prepaid meters which will be preloaded with 30 cedis credit on check in. The customer is responsible for buying more credit as required. Our staff will be able to assist with this. Air condition units - to save on energy cost and minimize waste, we recommend that you switch off units from the wall socket when leaving the room. To comply with fire regulation the air conditions and water heaters must be turned off when you leave the villa unattended for whatever length of time. This will be monitored by our staff. Water heaters - please note that this only takes 15 minutes to produce enough hot water for at least two people to bath therefore remembering to switch it off from the wall socket would again save on energy cost.

Pets and smoking Policy
No pets are allowed in any of our villas. No smoking is allowed inside the villa, but permitted in the porch and grounds of the complex.

 

Parking

Whilst we provide 24 hour security, please note that vehicles parked on the premises are at the owners own risk and Royal Ramsgate Villas accepts no responsibility for any damage or theft from or of the vehicle.

deposit against damages
There is a refundable deposit of $100 against damages. This deposit is to be made before check-in. The refund is made on check-out after satisfactory inventory. Please bring any identified defects or damages to the immediate attention of the manager or staff.
